MIT defeat Framingham

Teams:MIT vs Framingham
Played:09/17/2011 @ MIT
Score: 60 - 0 MIT win

MIT made it two wins from two in their first home game of the year last Saturday.

The beautiful weather and excellent quality of the playing field lead to a very open game of rugby in first half to the delight of the vocal home support.

While the attack was proving fruitful MIT were a little careless with the final pass at times and potential scores were missed. The home side struggled with their defense discipline in the opening period also and conceded needless yards from soft penalties.

MIT settled into the game better in the middle quarter and were able to add to early scores from flanker Frank and number 8 Mick with hooker Keith crossing the line.

Framingham continued to fight back however with some good running from their first centre and good close in carrying from their backrow.

MIT hit a purple patch in the second half banishing the mistakes from the first period with flanker Frank picking up two more tries and lock Al scoring from long range. The backs were not to be outdone however and centre Matt picked up a score as did his team mate on the wing John C.
