MIT B's frozen out by New London

Teams:MIT vs New London
Played:01/01/2010 @ New London, CT
Score: 14 - 22 MIT loss

MIT's strength in depth was illustrated by a squad of over 20 players traveling to New London to contest the B side game. Indeed such was the strength that MIT were able to contribute players to the New London team to ensure the game went ahead.

Having watched the A side lose out in ever deteriorating conditions the B side were determined to show off their wares and laughed off the driving snow and icy field conditions to contest the B side game.

MIT's fall season culminated in a winner-takes-all final regular-season game against New London last weekend. Both sides had been registering impressive wins all season and came into the game with a pair of 100% records. One of those records was to fall and on the day it was unfortunate that MIT were the ones to lose out.

MIT beat a strong Springfield

Teams:MIT vs Springfield
Played:10/01/2011 @ MIT
Score: 32 - 7 MIT win

MIT's fall campaign continued at home to Springfield. Having narrowly defeated Springfield in Spring's NERFU cup and in the 2010 Fall season, MIT knew they would have to be at their best to continue their 100% league record heading in to the Bye Weekend.
Despite the heavy midweek rain the field was in excellent condition and is a credit to the MIT ground staff. MIT having won the coin toss elected to play with the light breeze in the opening half.

MIT B's maintain 100% record at home to Springfield

Teams:MIT vs Springfield B's
Played:10/01/2011 @ MIT
Score: 58 - 0 MIT win

MIT's B-side continue to give coach Sean selection nightmares (in the best sense) after adding another emphatic bonus point win to their already 100% record.
In a game where the strength of the forward pack and dominance of the backline attack proved too much for the opposition, two players picked up a hattrick of tries (John LeB and Patrick) and prop Martin picked up his first try for the club, resulting in the usual reward!
The pack laid down a marker early in the game with some fine scrummaging and excellent use of the preplanned moves, a lesson in itself to the A side.

MIT take full points on the road v Monadnock

Teams:MIT vs Monadnock
Played:09/24/2011 @ Keene, NH
Score: 50 - 7 MIT win

MIT travelled to Keene, NH to take on Monadnock in their third game of the 2011 Fall Season.

The damp weather of the previous days took a turn for the better on Saturday morniing giving way to warm humid conditions and a damp field for the game.

Monadnock started brightly with their scrumhalf probing and causing MIT problems on a few occasions. Indeed the team as a whole showed a greater cohesion and stronger defense than the previous fall.
